TREE PLANTING: IN COMMEMORATION OF 500 YEARS OF CHRISTIANITY

Nuing: Last August 1, 2021, in commemoration of the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines, the Sto. Nino Mission Station, JAS, particularly the Youth (Core Group) had a tree planting activity. It was headed by Rev. Fr. Raymond Balaod who guided and taught the young to love creation. The group was full of hope, inspiration, and fun as they do the activity. It was a memorable day for the youth for they did not only expressed their love for God and His creation, they also expressed their unity and solidarity with each other, as they fight and face the global crisis that made us all suffer- (Pandemic & Climate Change).

"Tree planting is the most important part of our community. It helps us by providing our shelters and gives as an oxygen in order for us to breath. As we plant more trees it controls climate change and other natural calamities. If we continue to boost this kind of manner, we give hope to others to continue living and use their lives with a purpose." - Marjune Retardo
