Nazareth Formation House Officially Opens 2026 Sportsfest

Calbayog City, Samar – Following the inauguration of the new formation year, the Nazareth Formation House (NFH) officially opened its annual sportsfest today, August 3, 2026, bringing together aspirants and formators for an afternoon of camaraderie and friendly competition. The opening ceremony commenced at 3:30 PM at the NFH basketball court.

A total of 25 aspirants and 4 formators have been divided into three distinct competitive groups: Team Faith, Team Hope, and Team Love. The team names draw their inspiration from the event's scriptural theme, taken from the First Epistle of Paul to the Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love (TJB).”

To begin the festivities, the sports committee organized a series of engaging dynamic group games intended to foster teamwork and coordination among the teams. Traditional and cooperative activities such as the sack race, jumping rope, and name-calling games set an energetic tone for the afternoon. The opening day marks only the beginning of the tournament. Over the coming days, the three teams are set to compete in a diverse lineup of both indoor and outdoor sports, promoting physical wellness, sportsmanship, and fraternal bonds within the formation community.
