“Living the Fiat!” NFH Community Held Its Recollection for the Month of August

Calbayog City, Samar – Today, 31st of August 2026, the aspirants of Nazareth Formation House (NFH) held their first monthly recollection for the Formation Year: 2026-2027. Bro. Joric Gabasa, PSDP served as their facilitator. He invited them to reflect on theme: “Living the Fiat: A Journey of Faith.”
Br. Joric reminded the aspirants to go back to their vocation story: how it all started and how they felt God’s calling. He emphasized that perplexity, fear, and confusion are normal experiences when encountering God. This is also what our mother Mary experienced in the annunciation of the Archangel Gabriel to her that she will become the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Br. Joric added that there will be times as well when the aspirants will encounter confusion because of hearing competing voices. But then, he said that in moment like this, a prayerful silence will help them discern God’s voice amidst these voices, calling them to follow Him more dearly.
The recollection ended with eucharistic celebration in thanksgiving to the Lord for this precious moment of reflection and silent prayer.
The recollection gave the aspirants time to recall, reflect, and renew their discernment. As they move forward in their journey, they have nothing but a firm confidence and trust, rooted in God’s love and mercy who will always guide them to the right path.
