First Aid Lecture Equips NFH Aspirants with Life-Saving Skills

Calbayog City — A total of twenty-nine (29) aspirants learned essential emergency skills during a first aid lecture held Sunday, 20th of September 2026 at the Nazareth Formation House Auditorium.
Facilitated by Ms. Bianca Bedio, a registered nurse and dean of College of Nursing at NorthWest Samar State University (NwSSU), the three-hour session focused on practical, easy-to-apply techniques: wound care, choking management, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
“Correct first aid skills can save a life — and that ability should belong to anyone,” Ms. Bedio told participants. “You don’t need to be a health care professional to learn those skills.”
Attendees practiced skills and received reference guides. Ms. Bedio confirmed additional sessions will be scheduled in the following months covering disaster response and emergency preparedness.
