Calabrian Family Encounter

Cagayan de Oro City: Last August 13, 2022, the Calabrian Family here in Cagayan de Oro City held a Calabrian Family Encounter in CCF Kauswagan Meeting Hall. With the theme "It Unum Sint" (That they may be one), the event was also inspired by these words of St. John Calabria: "The presence of religious and laity within the one family is perceived by all as a great wealth. Sharing a single common charism and embracing the same mission of the Opera is a free gift of God."

The event started with registration and animation. A series of talks then followed. The speakers include Bro. Johnbosco Mutulu, Fr. Marc Yape, and Sr. Rosella Chiavegatto. Group sharing was also held in the afternoon facilitated by Fr. Jeffrey Singzon. It was ended through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

We praise God for the success of this event. We thank Him because opportunities like this also become occasions where the members of Calabrian Family get to strengthen their resolve to live out more and better the charism that is inspired by the spirituality of St. John Calabria.
