Marabatuan, Jose Abad Santos – The Gagmayng Kristohanong Katilingban (GKK) members of GKK Fatima gathered on Saturday, September 27, 2025, for a comprehensive GKK Handbook Orientation aimed at deepening their understanding of the Church’s mission and the vital role of the Basic Ecclesial Community (BEC) in parish life.
The orientation, held at GKK Fatima in Marabatuan, was facilitated by Bro. Ardiomer Amabao, PSDP, together with the Parish Pastoral Activities Team. The session began at 10:00 AM, followed by a lunch break at noon, and resumed at 1:00 PM, concluding at 4:30 PM.
This formation is part of an ongoing program designed to reach all 34 GKKs in the parish. So far, two GKKs have successfully completed their orientations, with more sessions scheduled in the coming weeks. The program’s goal is to ensure every small Christian community gains a deeper knowledge of its mission and responsibilities in building up the Church. One participant expressed their gratitude, saying, “Salamat kaayo tungod ani mas napalawom among kahibalo unsa gyud ang among katungod,” which translates to, “We are very thankful because through this, our understanding of our true rights and responsibilities as members has been deepened.”
With two GKKs already formed and 32 more to go, the parish looks forward to seeing stronger, faith-driven communities emerge as this ongoing formation continues.
