Caburan, Davao Occidental – The Calabrian Family of Our Lady of Assumption Parish gathered for their monthly formation on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Kusina ni San Jose, with the aim of deepening their understanding and spirituality rooted in the charism of St. John Calabria, founder of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence.

The session, led by Fr. Marc B. Yape, PSDP, focused on the theme “Mary, the Weaver of God: Model of a Life Woven in Christ.” The formation began at 7:30 PM, offering participants a time of reflection and learning about how Mary’s life serves as a model of faith and service in today’s world.

“This monthly formation is essential for us as lay collaborators of the Calabrian mission,” said one participant. “It helps us grow not only in knowledge but also in living out the values of St. John Calabria in our daily lives.”

After the formation, a brief meeting was held to plan activities for the upcoming Novena and Feast Day celebrations of St. John Calabria, ensuring meaningful and well-prepared events for the parish community.

The Calabrian Family’s commitment to ongoing formation reflects their mission of building a stronger spiritual foundation, inspired by the life of their founder and guided by the example of the Blessed Mother.
