St. John Calabria's Reliquary Pilgrimage in Taytay Rizal
Taytay: The relics of St. John Calabria arrived in Luzon last May 10 2023 around 11:30pm in the evening accompanied by Fr. Fernando Esperanza, PSDP Priests and Brothers General Vicar and Sr. Loris Trevisol, PSDP Sister's General Vicar. The relics then proceeded and stayed at Calabrian Home community before started its pilgrimage.
May 11, 2023 (Thursday) the Relics had it's motorcade around the areas of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish. The Assembly started around 8:00 in the Morning, and at 9:00 am started the motorcade. The relics visited first the Chapel of Lakas Bisig (Sacred Heart of JEsus), then proceeded to Anak Pawis (Sto. Nino), Planters (San Isidro Labrador), Pag-asa (San Jose), Nagtinig (Immaculate COnception), Damayan (San Vicente Ferrer), Sakbit (St. JOhn Calabria), Arenda Dulo (San Juan Bautista), Arenda Gitna (Our Lady of Holy ROsary), Abnai (St. Catherine), Kenneth (Our Lady of Guadalupe), Villa Cuana (Our Lady of Lourdes), Pag-ibig (Our Lady of Fatima), then proceeded to Greenwoods (San Andres APostol Parish) which was a former chapel of San Lorenzo Parish. After the motorcade the relics proceeded to San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish for the opening Liturgy.
May 12, 2023 (Friday) the relics visited the International Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in Antipolo Cathedral. It was warmly received by the Bishops and the Team of Pastors headed by Fr. Reynante Tolentino. The Relics stayed in the Cathedral around 12:00nn with the first mass presided by Fr. Reynaldo Olan, PSDP and venerated until 5:00 in the afternoon. THen, 5:00 in the afternoon, Bishop NOly Buco, DD, presided the second mass. The Mass was concelebrated by PSDP priests and other diocesan priests.
May 13, 2023 (Saturday) The relics arrived at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish for veneration and program. 9:00 in the morning, Fr. Reynaldo Olan explained the 7 relics of St. JOhn Calabria. Parishioners from various communities within San Lorenzo attended the program and veneration.
May 14, 2023 (Sunday) The relics was venerated by parishioners who attended the Holy Masses. The first mass was around 6:00am, second mass 8:00am, third mass 10:00am, fourth mass 5:00pm, and the last mass 6:30pm.
May 15, 2023 (Monday) the Relics departed for Calbayog City, Samar.
