San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Celebrates Red Wednesday
Taytay, Rizal – In response to the Diocese of Antipolo's directive, San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish actively participated in the Red Wednesday observance, a day dedicated to honoring and standing in solidarity with Christians suffering persecution worldwide.
The event was marked by a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Jacques Patizere, OMI, at 6 p.m. The Mass drew a significant number of parishioners, many dressed in red to symbolize solidarity and remembrance of persecuted Christians.
During his homily, Fr. Jacques emphasized the importance of standing for the truth amid adversity. The Mass was offered with the special intention of fostering global awareness and prayerful support for suffering Christians.
Following the liturgy, the congregation n moved outside the church. A short prayer was offered, and candles were lit, serving as a reminder of hope and resilience in the face of hardship.
