PSDP Religious Communities in Taytay, Rizal Gather for Recollection

Taytay, Rizal – On August 25, 2025, the PSDP religious communities of Taytay gathered for a joint community recollection hosted by the Mitra Community. The event brought together religious priests, brothers, postulants, as well as sisters and their postulant in a day of prayer and reflection.

The recollection was led by Rev. Fr. Melchizedek de Lara, PSDP who reflected on the theme “Desire, Heart, and Friendship in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.” In his talk, he posed the central question, “Where is my heart?”—guiding the participants toward a deeper encounter with the Lord.

The gathering began at 2:00 p.m. at the Mitra Community Chapel with the recollection proper, followed by the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, which lasted until 6:00 p.m. During this time, the community also recited the evening prayer.

The day concluded with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Fr.  Melchizedek, and was capped by a simple fellowship dinner, which fostered unity and gratitude among the participants.

This gathering served as a meaningful occasion of renewal, strengthening bonds of faith and friendship within the PSDP communities under the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
