Orientation Seminar on Psychological First Aid (PFA)

Cagayan de Oro City: Last February 13, 2021, the Vicariate of St. Jerome here in the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro conducted an orientation seminar on Psychological First Aid (PFA), held at the Heritage Hall of Kong Hua School. It was attended by a total of 12 priests and more than 70 volunteers from different parishes and foundations, including the staffs of Calabrian Children’s Foundation.

The said event was part of the initiative of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro to respond to the rising number of suicide cases here in Cagayan. The event also included talks about mental health awareness, care for the mentally challenged, and guidance and counseling for young people.
