Bishop Ruperto C. Santos Visits Poor Servants of the Divine Providence (PSDP) Community in Taytay, Rizal
Taytay, Rizal — Most Rev. Ruperto C. Santos, the Bishop of Antipolo, made a pastoral visit to the Poor Servants of the Divine Providence (PSDP) community in Taytay last September 28, 2024, before the Holy Mass for the Feast Day of San Lorenzo Ruiz.
It is the Bishop Ruperto’s first time visiting the PSDP community in Taytay, Rizal. During his visit, the bishop met with the religious brothers, sisters, and some lay members who continue to serve the local community.
Bishop Santos visited three key locations in the PSDP community: the priests' convent in Mitra and Calabrian Formation School or CFS, the nuns' convent located in San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, and the Bro. Francisco Perez Clinic which is also in Taytay, Rizal.
The first PSDP priests and brothers arrived in the Philippines in 1990. Since then, the community has reached and served a number of underprivileged Filipinos and helped them particularly in their spiritual growth, education, and healthcare needs. Indeed, the PSDP community was deeply grateful for Bishop Santos' visit, describing it as a moment of spiritual renewal and affirmation.
