Compostela, Davao de Oro – The Mary, Mother of the Poor Delegation, Philippines and Papua New Guinea welcomes its newly ordained priest, Rev. Fr. Keirstin Lamparas, PSDP. He was ordained to the order of presbyterate at ten o’clock in the morning of 9th of July 2025 at Sr. Santiago Apostol Parish, Compostela, Davao de Oro, through the laying on of hand of Most Rev. Bishop Medil Aseo, DD, Bishop of Tagum. Priests from the Congregation of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence (Calabrians) and Diocesan priests came to join in this sacred event.

In the afternoon of the same day, Fr. Ken-ken, as he is fondly called by his friends and relatives, presided over his first mass at Sr. San Roque Chapel, Brgy. Tamia, Compostela. In his homily, Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, PSDP, the homilist of the mass, highlighted that vocation is a gift and at the same time a responsibility. Despite one’s unworthiness, God continues to call people to take part of the mission of shepherding God’s flock.

Fr. Ken hailed from Brgy. Tamia, Compostela. He entered Nazareth Formation House in 2011. He took his first religious profession in 2019. He finished his theological studies at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in 2023. He was ordained to the sacred order of deacons in 2024 through Archbishop Jose Cabantan, DD of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro.
