Vocation Festival Talk Show Inspires Youth

Calbayog City – On December 7, 2023, the Vocation Festival, a key event of the Vicariate Youth Days 2024, was held at St. Joachim Parish, Brgy. San Joaquin, Calbayog City. Inspired by the theme "Mary arose and went with haste" (Lk 1:39), the event was designed as a lively talk show, offering an interactive and insightful experience for the youth.

The festival featured several vocation guests representing different states of life: priestly, religious, married, and single blessedness. Among them was Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, PSDP, who joined others in sharing personal experiences and reflections about responding to God’s call. The talk show format allowed for open dialogue, with the youth actively engaging through questions about vocation, faith, and the joys and challenges of living a life dedicated to God.

Each vocation guest brought unique perspectives, emphasizing the richness and diversity of vocations in the Church. Fr. Jeffrey spoke about the joy of the priestly vocation, inspiring participants to trust God’s plan for their lives. Other speakers highlighted the fulfillment found in their own callings, offering the youth a well-rounded understanding of vocation as a path to holiness and service.

The event left the youth with a renewed sense of purpose, reminding them that every vocation is a response to God’s love. The engaging talk-show format made the Vocation Festival a memorable and impactful experience for all who attended.
