Taytay: The Calabrian Family in Luzon, with the guidance of Rev. Fr. Caster Von Calipes, PSDP, and Rev. Fr. Marvin Tadena, PSDP, gathered last October 4, 2024 for a meeting and formation.
Rev. Fr. Von started the meeting with a heartfelt prayer and song that set the tone for the discussions. Rev. Fr. Marvin welcomed the new members of the family with a warm message. Sis. Kesiah Joy Bobis, the group’s secretary, read the minutes of the previous meeting. The highlight of the meeting was the discussion of each member’s homework–the answered questionnaire. The goal of this activity was to highlight both the lights and shadows of their proposed initiatives. There was an open dialogue allowing every member for their meaningful feedback and suggestion on how to strengthen future events and services.
After reviewing the members’ answers to the questionnaire, an exciting announcement was made about the celebration of the St. John Calabria’s Feast Day on October 8. Further details were provided, encouraging active participation from all members. In addition, the date for the next meeting was set.
The meeting concluded with a closing prayer, offering thanks for the fruitful discussions and guidance for the future. After the meeting, Sister Maria joyfully shared her Italian spaghetti to everyone. Indeed, it was a meaningful day of collaboration and dialogue for all.
