Taytay, Rizal – On April 18, 2026, around 300 parishioners from San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish took part in a Jubilee pilgrimage to selected churches in the Diocese of Antipolo, in celebration of the 400th anniversary of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje.

The pilgrimage forms part of the diocesan Jubilee year, which officially opened on January 14, 2026, and features four designated “Jubilee Roads.” These routes connect 25 identified churches across Rizal Province, all leading to the Antipolo Cathedral, the principal shrine of the revered Marian image.

Each Jubilee Road carries a distinct spiritual theme: the Road of Faith promotes discipleship, the Road of Hope emphasizes renewal, the Road of Peace focuses on reconciliation, and the Road of Love highlights charity and service. This year, San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish undertook the Road of Peace, inviting participants to reflect on unity, forgiveness, and harmony in their spiritual journey.

The pilgrimage was attended by a diverse group of the faithful, including lay parishioners, as well as religious sisters, brothers, and priests. Activities began with a Eucharistic celebration at 5:00 a.m. at the parish church, setting a prayerful tone for the day. Pilgrims then visited several designated Jubilee churches along the route, engaging in prayer, reflection, and communal worship.

The day-long pilgrimage concluded at approximately 4:00 p.m., marking not only a physical journey across churches but also a deeper spiritual experience for participants. The event highlighted the parish community’s active participation in the Jubilee celebration and its commitment to living out the values of peace and reconciliation.
