San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Hosts Annual Altar Servers Sportsfest

Taytay, Rizal – The Ministry of Altar Servers of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish successfully conducted its annual sportsfest on April 20, 2026, at the Calabrian Formation School grounds, drawing the participation of approximately 120 altar servers.

The event was organized through the initiative of the parish’s Vocation Ministry, with postulants from the Poor Servants of the Divine Providence (PSDP) serving as facilitators and coordinators of the activities.

Participants were grouped into four teams—Servire, Agere, Missio, and Misericordia—which competed in a variety of events including cheers and yells, indoor games, tug of war, longest line, poster-making, volleyball, and basketball.

The day’s activities began with registration at 6:00 a.m. at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish grounds. At around 7:30 a.m., participants proceeded in a parade to the Calabrian Formation School venue, marking the formal start of the sportsfest.

After a full day of competitions, Team Servire emerged as this year’s overall champion. The event concluded with an awarding ceremony, officially ending at approximately 5:30 p.m. Organizers highlighted the sportsfest as an opportunity to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and active participation among altar servers within the parish community.
