San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish Celebrates Feast of its Patron Saint with Solemn Mass and Procession

TAYTAY — The San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish joyfully celebrated the Feast of San Lorenzo Ruiz on September 28, 2025, in honor of its patron saint, the first Filipino martyr and saint. The celebration brought together parishioners, community members, and local leaders in a display of unity and devotion.

The festivities began at 7:30 AM with a procession of the image of San Lorenzo Ruiz around Barangay San Lorenzo. The faithful, representing all parish communities, were joined by the homeowners’ association of Barangay San Lorenzo, as well as local government leaders led by the Municipal Mayor and his colleagues. The procession served as a public witness of faith and gratitude to God through the intercession of San Lorenzo.

The highlight of the celebration was the 9:00 AM solemn mass, presided over by Most Rev. Ruperto Santos, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Antipolo. The Eucharistic celebration was marked by heartfelt prayers, hymns, and thanksgiving, as the community honored the life and martyrdom of their patron saint.

The feast underscored the parish’s strong devotion to San Lorenzo Ruiz and its commitment to fostering faith, unity, and service among its people. Parishioners expressed their gratitude for the meaningful celebration that once again brought the whole community together in prayer and fellowship.
