San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish and LGU Partner for Successful Medical Mission

Taytay, Rizal — The Social Service Ministry of the Parish of San Lorenzo Ruiz, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Taytay and the Municipal Health Office, successfully conducted a medical mission on September 12, 2025, offering free healthcare services to local residents.

The day began with a Holy Mass at 6:30 a.m. at the old Church of San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, presided over by Fr. Von Calipes, PSDP. Following the Mass, the medical mission commenced, providing various health and wellness services to the community.

Doctors and volunteers from St. John Calabria Clinic and Maderal Ophthal Clinic joined the initiative, offering their expertise and support. Services included free eye check-ups, general medical consultations with medicines, tooth extractions, haircuts, and body massages.

Approximately 200 individuals benefited from the event, which concluded at 12 noon.

The successful mission highlighted the impact of strong partnerships between faith-based organizations, local government units, and healthcare providers in addressing the needs of the community.
