PSDP Aspirants Receive the Sacrament of Confirmation

Calbayog City – Eight aspirants of the PSDP joyfully received the Sacrament of Confirmatio on February 21, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral, joining hundreds of other faithful in a meaningful celebration of faith.

The Confirmation was presided over by Most Reverend Isabelo C. Abarquez, Bishop of Calbayog. The eight PSDP aspirants were among more than 286 candidates who received the Sacrament. In his homily, Bishop Abarquez reminded the confirmands to be strong witnesses of Christ and to allow the Holy Spirit to guide their words and actions.

The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the grace received at Baptism. For the aspirants, this moment is not only a Church requirement but also a personal “yes” to God’s call. As they continue their formation at Nazareth Formation House, Confirmation deepens their commitment to live their vocation with courage, faith, and love for the Church.
