PSDP Aspirants Join Recollection in Preparation for St. John Calabria Feast

Calbayog City – The PSDP aspirants of Nazareth Formation House gathered for their monthly recollection on September 26, 2025, led by their Rector, Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, PSDP. The theme of the recollection was “The world needs to see in practice the Gospel.”

Fr. Jeffrey reflected on the repeated word “worry” in the Gospel. He reminded the aspirants that worry is not always bad—it can help us prepare and be careful—but it should never control our lives. “When we give too much power to our worries, they become like false gods,” he said.

He then connected this message to the theme by pointing out that living the Gospel means showing others our trust in God. “The world needs to see the Gospel in practice, and this happens when people see us choosing faith and hope instead of fear and anxiety,” he added.

This recollection was part of the community’s preparation for the Novena-Mass and Feast Day of St. John Calabria on October 8, 2025.
