Our Lady of Assumption Parish-Caburan Celebrates the Feast Day of St. John Calabria

Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental — The Calabrian Family, together with the Carmelite Missionaries, joyfully gathered on October 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Assumption Parish to celebrate the Feast Day of St. John Calabria.

The evening celebration began with the Holy Eucharist at 5:30 p.m., presided over by Fr. Marc Yape, PSDP, followed by the veneration of the relic of St. John Calabria.

In his homily, Fr. Marc reflected on one of St. John Calabria’s well-loved sayings: “Do not worry—God will provide!” He reminded the faithful that this message remains profoundly relevant today, especially in times of uncertainty.

After the Mass, the community gathered for a simple dinner and short program, where songs, sharing, and joyful fellowship filled the night.
