Nazareth Formation House Marks New Formation Year with First Eucharist at the Grotto

Calbayog City, Samar – Marking the official start of the 2026–2027 formation year, the Nazareth Formation House community gathered at the grotto today, August 1, 2026, to celebrate its first Holy Eucharist, following the arrival of all new and returning aspirants on July 31, 2026.

The celebration began with the Liturgy of the Hours, paving the way for the Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Reymond Balaod, PSDP served as the main celebrant, with Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Olan and Rev. Fr. Kierstin Lamparas concelebrating the liturgy.

In his homily, Fr. Balaod emphasized the vital role of discernment, encouraging the aspirants to make intentional, moral choices in their daily lives. He reminded them to always choose among goods and never opt for evil, noting that doing so helps them grow and mature into better individuals and Christians.

The celebration concluded on a spirit of renewed commitment, officially launching the community into a new season of spiritual growth, academic endeavor, and personal development.
