NFH COMMUNITY JOINS MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AT SVPCS
Calbayog City: Today, 20 August 2024, the aspirants of Nazareth Formation House (NFH) joined the St. Vincent de Paul College Seminary (SVPCS) community, where many of our aspirants are studying philosophy, for the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a moment that signals the beginning of a new chapter in their formation journey. Presided over by Bishop Isabelo C. Abarquez, this sacred gathering set the tone for the academic year ahead, filling hearts with renewed purpose and spiritual strength.
In his homily, Bishop Abarquez offered words of wisdom that resonated deeply with all present. He spoke of the power of diligent study, urging the seminarians to embrace their education with passion and dedication. He emphasized the importance of living with integrity, following the rules not as a burden, but as a path to true growth and maturity. His message was clear: let your actions be a beacon of goodness and faith for others to follow.
Bishop Abarquez also touched on the essence of responsible freedom, reminding the young men that true freedom is not about doing as we please, but about choosing what is right and fulfilling our God-given purpose. He encouraged them to be courageous and prayerful, especially when faced with difficulties, knowing that these moments are opportunities to strengthen their resolve and deepen their faith.
The Mass of the Holy Spirit was more than just a ceremony; it was a powerful call to live out their vocation with courage and joy. As the NFH aspirants continue their studies at SVPCS, they carry with them the bishop’s inspiring words, ready to walk the path of faith with hearts full of hope, strength, and determination.
