NFH SPORTSFEST 2024

Calbayog City: Today, August 11, 2024, the Nazareth Formation House (NFH) community gathered with excitement to officially open the Sportsfest 2024. This year's theme, "Faster, Higher, Stronger," sets the tone for a season filled with determination, teamwork, and growth.

The event began with an opening prayer led by Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, NFH Rector, setting a reflective and hopeful mood. Rev. Keirstin Lamparas, NFH Spiritual and Sports Committee Director, then delivered a message that inspired everyone to embrace the spirit of the games. The lighting of the torch followed, symbolizing the start of a journey fueled by passion and sportsmanship.

Formators and aspirants were divided into two teams: Sangue (Blood) and Terra (Soil). These teams, representing the lifeblood and foundation of our community, are ready to compete with vigor and camaraderie.

The pledge of sportsmanship was a reminder to all participants of the values that guide us—fair play, respect, and unity. The guidelines for the event were clearly laid out, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Adding to the lively atmosphere was a zumba dance energizer, where participants got moving and grooving, warming up for the day’s activities. The team calling, team building, and parlor games that followed were not just about competition but about building stronger bonds and enjoying each other's company.

The day concluded with a closing prayer by Fr. Jergfel Dancel, NFH Administrator, thanking God for a joyful start and asking for continued blessings throughout the sportsfest.
