Nazareth Formation House Joins San Roque Mission Center in Joyful Easter Vigil and Sugat Celebration

Dagum, Calbayog City — The community of Nazareth Formation House joined the faithful of San Roque Mission Center for the Easter Vigil and Sugat celebration, marking the joy and hope of the Risen Christ.

The Easter Vigil began with the blessing of fire and the lighting of the Paschal candle, followed by the reading of the Word of God, the renewal of baptismal promises, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Around 12 midnight, after the Easter Vigil, the Sugat was held. It was a touching reenactment of the meeting of the Risen Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. As the veil was lifted from Mary's image, people sang “Alleluia” with joy. Bells rang, lights shone, and the atmosphere was filled with celebration and faith.

The whole night was a powerful reminder of the victory of life over death and the light of Christ shining in every heart. The Nazareth Formation House community was blessed to be part of this meaningful event.
