Nazareth Formation House Joins Diocese of Calbayog’s Evening with Mary

Calbayog City –On the eve of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s birthday, 7^th of September 2025, the PSDP religious of Nazareth Formation House, together with some aspirants, joined the Diocese of Calbayog in the celebration of the Evening with Mary. The event highlighted the joy of being a synodal Church, where listening, sharing, and community come together.

The gathering was graced by Bishop Isabelo Abarquez, diocesan clergy, consecrated men and women, lay collaborators and partners, youth, and many other visitors. It was an evening filled with prayer, music, and inspiration, celebrating Mary’s life and our shared mission as a Church.

The program included an invocation by the SVPCS Chorale, opening remarks from Bishop Abarquez, blessings and dinner, and several inspirational messages from invited speakers including Ms. Farah de Lira, Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, PSDP, and Sr. Lucia Arana, OND. Presentations by the Youth Animators, the SVPCS Chorale, and ARC enriched the evening with creative and musical offerings. The celebration concluded with a hymn, offering of flowers to Mary, and a final blessing from Bishop Abarquez.

It was truly an evening of joy, reflection, and community, celebrating Mary and fostering the spirit of a synodal Church in action.
