First Religious Profession

Cagayan de Oro City: On the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, four brothers offered completely their lives to the Lord through their First Religious Profession. Br. Kim Robert Almacen, PSDP, Br. Ardiomer Amabao, PSDP, Br. Amante Julaton, PSDP, and Br. Leanard Tadena, PSDP said their unwavering ‘Yes, I do!’ when asked about their intent to live out the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in imitation of the Divine Master.

In the name of the Church and the religious Family of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence (Calabrians), the Casante, Fr. Massimiliano Parrella, PSDP welcomed them as members of the Congregation.

Their first annual profession is greatly significant because it marks their “entrance into the Congregation and the beginning of a new and special journey towards the complete giving of oneself to God and to his brothers in the light of the Holy Spirit and with the strength of His grace” (Constitutions and Directory, no. 32a).

Let us pray that our newly professed brothers may live out their vows in the spirit of trust and abandonment to the Divine Providence.
