Diocese of Calbayog Kicks Off Vocation Month: A Call to Serve Christ

Calbayog City – The Diocese of Calbayog, through the Commission on Vocations and Seminarians, in collaboration with the Association of Religious in Calbayog, officially launched Vocation Month, today, 4th of February 2025, with the theme: "Hala Na, Urupod Kita Pagserbe Kan Kristo."

The celebration began with a vibrant motorcade parade, followed by a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Most Reverend Isabelo C. Abarquez, D.D. The event continued with a program featuring inspiring vocation stories, where different religious congregations introduced their charisms, ministries, and mission works. It was a moment of encounter and invitation, as they encouraged young people to discern and respond to God’s call.

Students from both public and private schools, as well as youth from various parishes across Calbayog, actively participated in the launching. The event was a powerful reminder that the call to serve Christ is alive and continues to echo in the hearts of the faithful.

As Vocation Month unfolds, the Diocese hopes to inspire more young people to listen, discern, and courageously respond to God’s call in their lives.
