Junior Religious Gathering

It was nearly seven months since the last time the junior religious of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence were gathered together for a formation session and meeting. Perhaps, many things that were said during their last meeting may have been already forgotten. But, hopefully, their desire to learn something new will not eventually die down.

As they are about to have their annual retreat scheduled on May 16-22, 2018, a two-day session (May 14-15) was set for them to convene together for another junior religious gathering. By this time, it was held at Nazareth Formation House, Dagum Hills, Calbayog City. Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Olan, PSDP, the delegate superior, was their facilitator and he spoke about “The Calabrian Project of Life: The Challenge of Pinoy Calabrian Religious Today.”

In the first day of their meeting, Fr. Rey reminded the junior religious of the nature and mission of the Congregation, exhorting them to be faithful to their identity despite the challenges. In the second and final day, he invited them to pattern their lives in accordance to the gospel values as concretely lived by St. John Calabria. Before ending their formation session, a meeting was held for the planning of the next activity of the junior religious. As agreed upon, their next meeting will be in San Lorenzo Ruiz, Taytay, Rizal, and most probably it will be in the month of October.
