SLRP Spiritual Exercises: A Moment of Renewal and Conversion

Taytay: San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish officers had their spiritual exercises last July 7 and 8 at St. Michaels’ Retreat House, Antipolo City. The retreat was a preparation for the coming 25th Year Anniversary of the Parish with the themes: “Pinasisigla ng Salita ng Diyos at Yukaristiya upang patuloy na maging tagapaghatid ng Mabuting Balita," and “Forming BEC’s as agent of Communion, Participation and Mission. The retreat started 7:00 am of July 7 ( first day) and ended 5:00 pm of July 8 (second day). There were a hundred and nineteen (119) officers of the Parish who attended the spiritual exercises. The retreat had various spiritual guides and facilitators with different topics of their talks: 1st Talk: The Parish: A Community of Missionary Disciples – Spiritual Guide: Rev. Fr. Alfredo “Jun” Meneses Jr; 2nd Talk: Basic Ecclesial Communities: Agent of Communion, Participation and Mission; 3rd Talk: The Parish as a Communion of Communities- Spiritual Guide: Rev. Fr. Felipe “Pepe” Pedraja; 4th Talk: Rediscovering the Missionary Nature of the Parish-Spiritual Guide: Rev. Fr. Gaudencio “Dennis” Alviar, OMI; 5th Talk: San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish: Animated by the Word of God and Eucharist to Continue to be Missionary of the Gospel-Spiritual Guide: Rev. Fr. Reynaldo B. Olan, PSDP. During the last day of the retreat the officers reconciled themselves to God and to the Church through the sacrament of confession, before the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
