Digos: New Calabrian Mission in the Philippines
Municipality of Jose Abad Santos: The Calabrian Family in the Philippines is joyful! A week after celebrating the 27th anniversary of presence in the Philippines, the Congregation Poor Servants of Divine Providence (PSDP) is opening a new mission in the Diocese of Digos.
On April 3, 2017, the present parish priest, Rev. Fr. Consorcio S. Lopez, Jr., DCD, accompanied Rev. Fr. Ronnie Lapara, PSDP, Bro. Claudemir Almeida, PSDP and Rev. Fr. Reynaldo Olan, PSDP to the Our Lady of Assumption parish in Brgy. Caburan Small, Municipality of Jose Abad Santos, Province of Davao Occidental to introduce to the Congregation the pastoral care of the parish.
Rev. Fr. Ronnie G. Lapara, PSDP (coming from Calbayog City), to be joined sooner by Rev. Fr. Melchizedek de Lara, PSDP (coming from Cagayan de Oro City) and Bro. Nelson Raz, PSDP (coming from Taytay, Rizal) will compose the new Calabrian community in that parish.
