Family Day @ CFS
MANILA: With the theme, “St John Calabria in the Hearts of the Filipino Family”, the Calabrian Formation School, Inc. celebrates family and feast day of its patron; St. John Calabria. The event begins with a Mass presided by Father Jeffrey Singzon and Father Alito Cangayao.
After the mass, the families mesmerize as some selected pupils parade their costume representing the country where Poor Servants of the Divine Providence is present.
The occasion was followed by various presentations of students from kindergarten to grade six.
Parents also performed numerous dance performances that go from modern dance, calisthenics, and folk dance and interpretative. Even the teachers had their presentation. Finally, to amaze more the crowd, The Religious Dance Company led by Father Jeffrey and postulants Ariel, Vincent and Jason showed their marvelous dance steps.
The occasion gives the family members and their children a chance to celebrate the meaning of being a family and spend quality time participating in fun activities together.
Some games were also given which the parents and their children are the active participants. This activity help each other learn the value of unity and trust among family members.
The families together with the teachers shared potluck lunch. The Family and Feast ended and the families returned to their homes tired but grateful to have the opportunity to spend a special day together.
