The Feast of the Calabrian Missions

Cagayan de Oro City: On November 20, 2022, the Calabrian Children’s Foundation participated the Feast of the Calabrian missions in Italy through online zoom. It is a program to remember all the missions of the Opera Don Calabria and to thank the many people and associations that help the work of the missionaries. The theme of the meeting is: “Witness.” This is in line with the world mission day celebrated by the whole Church on 23 October. The participants of the said event were Cagayan de Oro, in the Philippines; Nakuru, Kenya; Thana, India. During the celebration there were moments of dialogue with the missionaries. The representatives of the Philippines were Fr. Jeffrey Singzon, Sr. Rosella Chiavegato and the children, boys and girls.

After participating the online program, the children and religious sisters, priests and brothers, celebrated the Christ the King Sunday Mass. Then, followed by a short program as post birthday celebration of Mother Lucia Bressan and to welcome the new Calabrian sister assigned in the Philippines, Sr. Veronica Sarca.
