Sr. Catherine Renews Her Religious Vows

Cagayan de Oro City – On the day that the Universal Church celebrates the feast of the nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sr. Catherine Mwako, PSDP, a Calabrian sister from Kenya, renews her annual religious profession. Her renewal of profession was witnessed by the religious community of the Calabrian Sisters in Carmen with some brothers from the community of Bayabas.

Fr. Mark Jonnel Magos, PSDP presided over the eucharistic celebration for this joyous occasion. In his homily, he highlighted that God’s gift of Mary is a manifestation of God’s fidelity to his promises. Similarly, the renewal of religious profession is also an invitation to grow more in fidelity to one’s vocation and mission. There will be moments of trials and adversities but believing in God’s promises, everything will turn out well for those who love God.

Sr. Rosella Chiavegatto, PSDP, the superior of the Calabrian Sisters in Carmen received Sr. Catherine’s renewal of vows.

After the celebration, a sumptuous dinner was prepared for everyone’s fill.
