Cagayan de Oro City – On the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the religious, novices and postulant of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence Congregation (Calabrians) gather at Fr. Luigi Pedrollo Formation House, Cagayan de Oro City for their advent Recollection. Rev. Fr. Randy Lingo, PSDP, served as their facilitator.

In his talk, Fr. Randy invited his confreres to reflect on the theme of “Calabrian Family.” Using the prayer of the Calabrian Family as a material, he highlighted the importance of going back to the heart of the spirituality of the congregation, “God is Our Father and We are God’s Children.” From this, according to him, flows other elements of our Calabrian spirituality.

During the mass which served as the culmination of their half-day recollection, Br. Arnel Gawonay, PSDP and Br. Nikko Pansacala, PSDP renewed their religious profession of annual vows. Rev. Fr. Marvin Tadena, PSDP, Delegate Superior, received their vows on behalf of the Congregation and the Opera. The renewal of religious vows signifies a renewed consecration to God and the congregation which make the professed to be more committed in his daily endeavor to follow Christ more closely and intimately.
