Diocese of Antipolo Social Action and Caritas Extend Aid to Flood-Affected Families in Taytay, Rizal

Taytay, Rizal – On August 20, 2025, the Diocese of Antipolo Social Action Center, in partnership with Caritas and the Social Service Ministry of the Parish of San Lorenzo Ruiz, conducted a relief distribution activity for families affected by the recent flooding in Taytay.

The outreach program, held from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, provided essential grocery items to approximately 100 families. The beneficiaries included 40 families from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Chapel, 30 from the Immaculate Conception Chapel, and 30 from the Saint Joseph Chapel.

The activity was spearheaded by Rev. Fr. Caster Von Calipes, PSDP. The program formally began with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of the benefactors. The distribution of relief goods proceeded in an orderly manner, ensuring that all identified recipients received assistance.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of the Diocese and its partner organizations to support communities in times of need, particularly those severely affected by natural calamities.
