Praying for the Dead
Cagayan de Oro City: The children in Calabrian Children’s Foundation (CCF) were very much exuberant as they dedicated praying the entire rosary for the deceased members of their family. Indeed, the scorching heat of the sun did not hamper them to say their prayers, considering that it is only once in a while that they had gone to a cemetery and remembered their loved ones in this very special occasion.
Early this morning, the children had to wash up and eat their breakfast immediately for they are bound to Green Hills Cemetery, Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City where they are scheduled to participate in the Eucharistic celebration and say their prayers. Due to an unforeseen circumstance, they were not able to join the Eucharistic celebration but instead they prayed the rosary for the dead under the shade of a big acacia tree where a benefactor of CCF is also laid to rest. However, despite such occurrence, God had given them another opportunity for by the following hours; they were brought by Fr. Ronaldo Eborde, PSDP to Oro Garden, Pueblo de Oro, Cagayan de Oro City where they were able to join the Eucharistic celebration.
Indeed, the Lord is gracious. They were not only nourished spiritually by the Eucharist but in fact after the Eucharistic celebration, a family had invited them for a lunch. Nevertheless, they got their fill and got satisfied.
