Retreat: a Moment of Spiritual Renewal and On-going Conversion

Cagayan de Oro City: Second batch of the Poor Servants of Divine Providence Religious (Priests, Brothers, and Sisters) and a Postulant concluded their annual Spiritual Exercises with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by their retreat Master Rev. Fr. Mariusz Jaszanbek, a Polish priest from the congregation Marians of the Immaculate Conception (MIC). The Spiritual Exercises was started on the eve of May 31st, a day which was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary (Mary’s visitation to her cousin Elizabeth), and was also the culmination of “Flores de Mayo”, “Flowers of May,” (A daily offering of flowers and songs to the Mother of Jesus which is traditionally observed all over the Philippines in the month of May) until June 6. It was held at the Novitiate House in San Isidro Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City. The Spiritual Exercise was a moment of their deep Spiritual Renewal and on-going Conversion especially, that they are fully involved in different activities and apostolates. Moreover, it was also their time of cultivation of their relationship with God, which strengthens them in their journey of faith and mission. Let us continue to pray for them as they carry out the mission of Jesus and living out His Gospel values.
