Entrance to the Novitiate

Cagayan de Oro City: On May 23, The Calabrian Novitiate community of Lumbia welcomes 6 new novices (3 Indians and 3 Filipinos) who begin the canonical year of novitiate. They are the following: Abinu Bernard Kurumbalakattu, Allan Chand Lakra, Prodesh Sangma, Mark Jergfel Dancel, John Mark Regañon, and Miller John Masiliones.

According to Fr. Joseph Pasini, PSDP, the novice master, “The novitiate is a period of initiation in which a novice evaluates his attitudes and prepares himself by prayer, study and experience of the religious community before consecrating oneself to the congregation.”
